What kind of tragic backstory do you need to not like pizza? What tortures has your palette gone through to reject the divine taste of perfection that is the simple dish of bread layered with sauce and meat and cheese and the blessings of the creator of the heavens above? No judgement of course. But most epicureally sound people of course know how to acknowledge and appreciate something good in life. If you’re hunting for a good slice of heaven or just some forgotten dreams, a trip to the city that never sleeps seems like a good idea. A little cramped considering the tables they have and especially considering how many people need to be seated. However, you forget all about that as soon as you take a bite of the delicious pizza baked in brick wood ovens handcrafted by a 3rd generation Neapolitan oven builder. The atmosphere is better for a casual get together with friends or family outings. But that’s ok too, not sure your date would be comfortable with you making heart eyes the next table’s pizza.
271 Bleecker St, New York, NY 10014 | 12–3:30PM, 5–11PM
One of the absolute best places for a deliciously authentic Neapolitan pizza. Again, this place is not exactly romantic but it is just intimate enough for a casual date with someone you can woo with incredible food. And the food is incredible, with over 50 combinations of toppings to choose from it’s like having to choose one piece from your favourite Lego set and it is as heart breaking as it is exciting. The service is exemplary, and the staff is pleasantly vigilant.

Although we firmly believe that all pizzas are beautiful, there just something about a pizzas with a fresh, crispy crust. It’s difficult to find a slice here that is just not unjustifiably delicious, but one particular flavour just takes the spot light; The Spicy Spring. Also known as a pepperoni lover’s dream come true. It’s thick, it’s juicy and it is covered in crispy savoury pepperoni. No really, the pepperoni alone deserves 5 stars on Yelp and a Wikihow page on ‘How to pepperoni’.
17 Clinton St, New York, NY 10002 | 4–10:30PM
This is the place that caters to everyone. The crowd pleaser, and please it does. The place for meat lovers, vegans, celiac patients – read: people who actually need to avoid gluten – are all welcomed here with probably the most accommodating menu in all of the land serving pizzas in New York. It is truly beloved for having a gluten free menu for people who cannot have gluten and the pizza remains absolutely divine and completely intact is obviously a major plus. The friendly and personable staffs only adds to the wholesome experience.
